ICCA 60th Congress Corporate Social responsibility initiatives

ICCA strives every year to provide an opportunity for members attending ICCA Congress to give back to the local community. Our annual support of a local cause or charity organisation aims to leave a deeper legacy beyond a purely economic or tourism impact.

For the 60th Congress, ICCA’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) commitment will benefit two Latin American initiatives: El Colegio del Cuerpo and the World Meetings Forum (WMF) Foundation.

El Colegio del Cuerpo

Founded in 1997, in Cartagena de Indias, Colombia by two dancers, choreographers and pedagogues, Álvaro Restrepo (Colombia) and Marie Delieuvin (France), El Colegio del Cuerpo (eCdC) is a pioneer in artistic education in the country and the world. This programme has created spaces and processes for social inclusion, leading to the construction of a culture for peace. The organisation has contributed to the artistic, professional and human development of 8,500 children and adolescents from vulnerable populations of the city, by means of its strategies:

  • Education for Dance: development of professional dancers, choreographers and pedagogues.
  • Education with Dance: curriculum leading to the wellbeing of the human body, risk prevention, and the awakening of sensitivity and creativity.
  • On Monday, 25 October at 14:00 (GMT-5), Delegates of the 2021 ICCA Congress can attend a panel discussion, delivered from the Cartagena stage, in which Álvaro Restrepo will share his insights for creating a more inclusive world. You can also help El Colegio del Cuerpo build a new facility by donating today.
